Sweden-Canada Startup Matchday

In the fourth edition of the Sweden-Canada Startup Matchday, Quebecois and Swedish startups will have the chance to digitally meet corporates from the forestry and mining sectors.

The corporate participants include leading enterprises from both countries such as Agnico Eagle, Boliden, Cascades, CMPC Ventures, Chantiers Chibougamau, Les Industries Fournier Inc., Holmen Skog AB, LKAB, Resolute Forest Products, Rogers Communications, and Södra.

Please note that Swedish startups will be exclusively matched with Canadian corporates, and Quebecois startups will be exclusively matched with Swedish corporates, as this tailored matchmaking aims to foster connections between the two countries. This event is organized by Ignite Sweden and Startup Montréal in collaboration with Business Sweden, SISP – Swedish Incubators and Science Parks, and Vinnova – Sweden’s Innovation Agency, and it is part of the Sweden-Canada Innovation Initiative.

It is important that you indicate which of the challenges you target when you apply to this matchmaking session. The list will be available a week before applications for startups close. Please note that we cannot guarantee that you will get any matches at this event.
Your participation in the matchmaking is made possible by the funding we receive from Vinnova (referred to as “verifieringsmedel” in Swedish) to support the commercialization of your innovation. Upon receiving confirmation that your startup has been matched with a corporate or public organization, our team will reach out to you with detailed instructions on the next steps. Please note that startups established outside Sweden are exempt from this process.
