In this first ever edition of the Sweden-USA Startup Matchday, late stage Swedish startups and scaleups will have the chance to meet urbs and their partners and join two of their carbon free projects in the real estate and infrastructure sector in New York, USA.
urbs | Urban Systems is a true system integrator that partners with investors, real estate developers and city districts to deliver sustainable solutions for real estate and infrastructure. urbs draws its strength on the proven Nordic technologies and expertise to execute development and projects that focus on; profitable return on investment, significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions, promote circular economy principles, and inclusive growth.
The first project with Hudson Square Properties includes decarbonization of buildings in Manhattan. They are looking for technology providers (both hardware and software) within resource efficient systems such as heat pumps or control systems balancing tools.
In the second project, in their role as one of the founders of the Stony Brook University Consortium, urbs has been announced as one of the four finalists to develop Governors Island into a Global Center of Excellence for Climate Sciences project. urbs is taking the lead on delivering sustainable infrastructure; e.g., carbon-free marine infrastructure, waste energy, fully renewable energy-powered electrical infrastructure, and facilitating financing for the infrastructure..
